No need to go for a formal training. If you really want to learn it,
    1. Install Linux in your PC, start with the basic things.
    2. Read some books/ebooks.
    3. Join some mailing list / forums about Linux or whatsoever that is similar.
    4. Go for the advance thingy and make sure to keep on learning.

its true that there's no need. but it is better to have training.

Ok ra man sad gihapon mag-self study sir in fact most of what I know I learned through self-studying ra man. Nagself-study sad ko Linux and my laptop is dual-bootable in vista and ubuntu. Pero based on my experience I think lahi ra gyud kon makaagi gyud kag formal training from a good training center because you will really be guided on your study. And to have undergone a formal training would really boost your confidence on your competence. Training centers are also well-equipped with the necessary laboratory setup for testing and exercises unless you can afford to buy all the necessary hardwares to setup your own lab at home or you have access to one.

In our company, all IT staff are sent to formal training especially on areas nga ilang gihandle bisan ug kamao na sila.

Pero honestly, basic ra gyud kaayo akong knowledge sa Linux although mag.basa2 sad ko labi na kon naa koy ma.encounter na problema. Usahay murag motapol gud ta basa labi na walay mo.push nato. Self-studying really entails a lot of self-descipline on your part gyud.

Thanks a lot for the advice sir!

Yeps, videos from CBT are very good. It's like spoon feeding the newbie & advance user. Dean is such a great "teacher".

maybe what he mean is that you'll get a certificate! that's it no more no less... IMHO certificate won't do much.
