good am. i know a little bit about psu. i'm using a gigabyte odin pro 550 watts. i know it has 4x 12v rails. please pasabta daw ko anang unsay pasabot ug muingon...

what does that mean? dili mangud kaayo ko swito, what i know lang is that my psu is 550watts and has 4x 12v rails.

makita nako sa box sa ako psu, +12v1 = 18a; +12v2 = 18a; +12v3 = 18a; +12v4 = 18a.... sa ilalom anang 4x nga 12v naay gibutang 41a.
naa pud +3.3v = 30a; +5v = 28a

dili ko kasabot unsay pasabot ana nga figures and how it is used.

pasabot ana, makaya ra sa ako psu diay? pero do i have to distribute the 12v rails ky kinahanglan man daw ug 2 power connectors ang gtx 260. unsaon nako pag make sure nga ang kada usa ka power connector sa videocard is utilizing different 12v rails?

in my opinion yes because magamit man nimo ang remaining nga amperage. in a multiple rail, kung sa 1st 12-volt rail nimo kay ang nagamit kay 15 amps sa usa ka component, the remaining amperage cannot be used already, in other words, good as consumed na ang usa ka rail. pero kung single rail with high amperage, the remaining amperage can still be used by other components and thereby, more efficient.

i'm not a PSU expert so you may take my answer like a grain of salt.

thanks for that info bro. so mas maayo jud diay ang usa ka 12v with a high amperage. sa una mangud i thought mas daghan 12v rails, mas maayo.

ok, more info please from the others. thanks. coz nowadays, you have to be careful with the psu and videocard combinations you have coz ang uban videocards grabe ug requirements.

ok raba ang combined 12v rails to produce 36amps? or kinahanglan jud nga mu dedicate ug usa ka 12v rail nga maka abot ug 36amps?

coz basing on the requirement nga 36amps, ako psu kaya maka support if combined ang 4x 18amps on the 12v rails. pero dili cya makakaya sa 36amps if single rail with 36amps ang kinahanglan, i hope masabtan ra ako question.

8800gt ako video card bro. no problems with it.

the reason for this thread ky ga plano mangud ko upgrade ug video card though im not in a hurry. but the thing is, dili pako ganahan mag upgrade ug power supply.
