Fresh from the oven, just taken a few hours ago. Both images are from the moon's Mare Nubium region, the area that LRO was passing over, which was at terminator during the moment of the shots.
Both images show an area about 1.4 kilometers wide, and you can see craters as small as 3 meters across. The images are 1000x1000 pixels in resolution, but the LRO can achieve higher resolutions than this.
Bottom line? If the LRO ever passes over the 6 Apollo landing sites (Tranquility, Procellarum, Fra Mauro, Hadley-Appenine, Descartes and Taurus-Littrow), we'll finally be able to see evidence of human presence there (i.e. LM descent stage, the Lunar Rover, etc.) due to the remarkable LRO imaging equipment.
