    Default Nuclear weapons: A right?

Without bringing personal feelings into the matter, do you think countries should have the right to develop and deploy nuclear weapons?

North Korea having nuclear weapons worries me, but on the other hand, listening to countries who already have nuclear weapons (and continue to have nuclear weapons) try to deny the other countries from having the same weapons doesnt seem right to me as well.

Pragmatically speaking, I think the fair choice would be to that all countries have nuclear weapons rather than limit them to the few countries that currently do. On the other hand, I realize that nuclear weapons is a destabilizing factor, however, after looking at it from the point of view of the countries that do not have nuclear weapons, it seems very unfair as well.

The fact is, the countries that currently have nuclear weapons are unlikely to give it up entirely. The delivery mechanisms may be limited, but the capability will probably be there for a long time. What do you think?

Can you expound? A privilege granted by what body? To who? Who can take it back?

and eax... from the link you gave. Relevant section in bold face.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an international organization that seeks to promote the peaceful use of nuclear energy and to inhibit its use for military purposes. It was established as an autonomous organization on 29 July 1957. Though established independently of the United Nations under its own international treaty (the IAEA Statute), the IAEA reports to both the General Assembly and the Security Council.

Nuclear Weapons is the last stand of defence.

In this world where survival is a nature... i would use that weapon to defend my interests.

granted by other countries. developing nuclear weapons is somewhat a threat to other countries, unless they trust you. it really depends on your agreements. but developing nuclear weapons in the backs of some countries is a threat and in my opinion they(either UN, China, Philippines, US, Russia, etc) can stop the development of nuclear weapons.
