Default PSU Inquiry: Split or Combined Rails?

My Tagan TG530 has an option to split or combine rails. currently set to split by default, will it be better
to set it on combined for better power? or shall i leave it on split setting?

    Inquiring before ill use it on a E7200, EP35-DS4, 4GB 1066, 9800GT 1GB setup.
