    Default How to Overclock my PC


    i have an intel dual core processor 2.0Ghz attached in an Asus p5sd2-vm.. havent tried overclocking ever since man gud, since p3 pa ako pc, hantod nag p4 nlng ko, even until now wa pa ko kasuway overclock coz i dont know unsaon.. i tried to search sa bios menu kung pede ba pasobraann.. wa man.. naako nakit an na e change nimo ang value sa cpu, 1-5 man gibutang and i dont understand it. basig d nya to mao. maguba nya hinuon ug sulayan nako.. hehehe!

    basin mapareha ka adtong thread sa other forum, he asked why wala kuno result sa iya OC n d na mudagan iya comp EVEN IF iya gi-set ang voltage to 3.2V, FSB to 600 and so on, hehehe...

    i'll keep it simple. the technique is knowing the maximum voltage of the following: processor, chipset, memory and fsb vtt.

    1. increase frontside bus, make sure memory is below or within rated speed.
    2. run a stability test for 15-30 minutes.
    3. if stable go to step 1, else increase processor voltage.
    4. if processor voltage doesn't yield any results, increase chipset/fsb vtt voltage.
    5. if increasing voltage stabilizes the overclock go to step 1 until voltages are maxed out or if front side bus is already equal to memory speed.

    of course if you don't want to touch the voltage, follow steps 1 and 2 then use this for step 3:

    3. if stable, go to step 1, else go down 1 notch an check for stability (test for 1-2 hours) until stable.
