Finishing Material: Gundams and Miniatures

Hi modeling enthusiasts, I just got back into Gundam modeling and have been doing a bit of miniature painting for a year.

What do you use as a topcoat/ finishing material for your Gundams and miniatures? I've been using Tamiya's spray varnish but it's glossy and I'm looking for a flat finish.

Where do you get your supplies of top coat or finishing materials?

Help guys pls. All i can find here in cebu is a glossy finish and it doesn't look good on miniatures and Gundams..

bro ako gamit before is testor dull coat pero ala ko kita ana diri, kung gusto ka dili glossy imo topcoat try flat base sa tamiya

@ rickmags2000: thanks for the info. i'll try to check with my contacts in manila.Â* i don't really mind it going yelllowish with time. i think it will give the kit more character.

@ zerk: flat laquer huh...Â* wouldn't it eat the plastic? hehe. i'm willing to experiment though.

sige daw.. they sell it by the bottles.. I guess you have to use lacquer thinner... youre problably right, murag mulanay ang plastic. Ive stopped doing scale models for a while na. so i dont even have scraps to experiment on. let me know.. for the sake of knowing. it would be a while till i get back on the hobby, i think .

i have a LOT of sprues left to try. i'll probably get the smallest they have for this Mad-Scientist-Experiment. hehehe.
