What can you say about the supposed prophesy of Nostradamus and the belief of the Mayans about 2012?

What I think is, so what if the earth aligns with the sun and the center of the galaxy? Is there something about the center of the galaxy that we should be concerned about? Is there proof that it actually emits life-force to the planets?
