Congratulations to to our very own Dick Robertson Yu aka "Wisechoice"... (owner of Wisechoice supplements shop @ Lahug)...

For winning gold - Mr. Cebu and 2nd place Mr. Visayas Body Building competition. May 31, 2009, SM Conference Hall.

My short and very quick review:

Mr. Cebu:

Dick was the biggest and most complete / symmetrical athlete this year. Big difference compared to all other competitors, from all body parts. Traps, delts, arms, down to calves. He's physique is totally different, a new standard to Cebuano / Filipino Body Building.


Mr. Visayas (winner of Mr. Cebu given a chance to challenge):

Roy Zafra was the most "CUT" or well defined among the competitors. Widest back and delts, but his upper body is just TOO BIG for his lower body. Legs and calves = big weakness. Dick Yu was able to compete with Zafra one-on-one. Close match, very small score (in numbers) difference. Roy Zafra grabbed the Mr. Visayas medal, Dick got 2nd place.

In my own opinion, body building is not just about size. Symmetry (balanced body) should be a percentage in scoring. But oh well, good enough for Dick's first ever competition.
