Default What have I proved about PSU's pls read!

Mga bro Ive found out these when visiting HEC website about OEM products like PSU's.

See the website and search most Power supply manufacturers like Silverstone, Coolermaster, Antec, Gigabyte etc.. what the HEC ang nag buhat so meaning re branding ra jud diay ni ang gibuhat sa uban manufacturers.

    80 Plus PSU - Details

The only difference when buying HEC and or other products psu kay ang warranty ra and the rest are the same. Now I know.

i thought FSP ang gahimo sa silverstone PSUs? 80-plus certification raman na imong gitan-aw pero you're right, there's a common OEM for every PSU. i'm sure FSP caters to other brands as well under a different name. the logic for this is that these manufacturers (silverstone, corsair, gigabyte, etc.) don't have the facilities to mass produce their own so they create their designs and a prototype is produced by the mass-producers and so and so forth. correct me if i'm wrong though.

there are some models sa Silverstone that are made by Seasonic & other OEMs...even if they come from the same OEM, they have different components/designs inside them...i saw a 500W OCZ StealthXstream and a Silverstone 500W...all came from Seasonic(Jeremy/FU, correct me if i'm wrong), different components used inside...

HEC maybe the manufacturer of Corsair/Gigabyte/etc. PSUs for mass production.
but the design and material specs is authored/dictated/validated by Corsair/Gigabyte/etc. engineering standards.

If HEC will not meet the Corsair/Gigabyte/etc. standards it will not be accepted.
Just like TSMC which manufactures the GPUs for nVIDIA and ATI but they don't design the chip.
    It is not rebranding.

mura ug toll-packing lng ne sila, hehehe...

they pay for the facilities and skills, but and ila clients own and develop the designs..

ang nindot ani, thoug not necessarily, the OEM's get to know ang designs from other brands, which in turn, daghan sila ug models..

Pardon sir, but these companies didn't make their PSU's. Other OEM maker made it such as FSP, Seasonic, Enhance, Etasis, Impervio, HEC,Seventeam,Channelwell etc. It's not rebranding also kay ang design & specs of each PSU is not coming from these OEM companies but comes from the R&D of their clients. As you can see some of these OEM makers nag baligya pod ug ilang PSU under their name like HEC & FSP, but they cannot copy the whole layout of the PCB including the components kay ma kiha sila sa ilang clients.

yes sir, you're right the ST50EF-P (500W) is made by Seasonic, similar design with OCZ StealthXstream 500W, but with different components used inside.

nah, they still have differences in quality & performance. just like what catered by chicken food processing factory there in hilly part of mandaue(i forgot the name of the company), they are preparing raw chicken products for the big names like jollilbee, mcdonalds, & kfc in one building.

So meaning silverstone kay wala jud silay manufacturing department sa ilang power supplies dba...they may have their own engineering designs but still they dont manufacture their own psu's, so mao na ilang lack.

Pero why man jud ing ana kamahal ang PSU sa silverstone diri sa cebu city? dba imo pud gi bayaran ang 3 yrs warranty correct me if I am not wrong?

Anyways its that I had been discovered, no worries, and its our choice of psu.
