Who has tried windows 7 on it?

I have a Compaq CQ40 310AU and i'm happy with it.

i'm currently running vista ultimate 32bit. but my ram is 4gig. so this afternoon i'll install 7 64bit. I'll just eat lunch and ill reformat.

i just installed it and i couldnt be any happier. ill try to play games later and see if its any better than vista. by the way, can you suggest me a good laptop cooler? one that is good for the cq40 -heat on the left side especially the rear

complete specs of my CQ40:

AMD Turion 64 X2 2x2.1GHz
4GB Dual DDR2-800Mhz - on dual channel
250GB 5400 HDD - i wish this was 7200rpm...
ATI Radeon HD 3200

This thing can run Crysis, COD4, on medium settings... i wonder if it can run GTA4...
My complaints: it gets really really hot. Aside from being uncomfortable to the lap and being quite warm in the wrist rest area, i'm actually worried it might get damaged due to overheating.

The outside of the CQ40 is the shiny glossy black cover with the nice "Q" in the middle. It does look very elegant and I like it. What I don't like about it is that every little touch on the black part would leave marks on it. And it can't be avoided. And it looks like it's also prone to scratches. So i put one of those transparent skins...

well in my case, my RAM usage goes up to 3GB+ especially when gaming.

anyone here installed vista ultimate 64 bit on Compaq CQ40? currently my friend has a preinstalled vista basic 32 bit in it. i tried to install office 2007 on it and it seems to have some issues. i guess i'll have to erase the preinstalled software and install a new one.
