hi. i know maka daot sa OS ang dili mag shutdown properly like brownout, etc. but sa hardware, especialy motherboard or processor, maka daot ba ang sudden lost of power like brownout? thanks

brownout? not really, naa lay slight chance (ang dako2xg chance madaot kay ang HD labi na ug busy ang HD pag brownout, ex. nag copy kag data)...
electrical surge? yes (unless kung naa kay surge protector)
to avoid damages from both? UPS![]()
usually, hard drive jud affected in sudden power interruptions. ang read/write head, galutaw man gud na sa imong platter and when the computer is turned off suddenly, it will crash into the platter itself causing bad blocks. debris that was caused by that crash would spread to the rest of the sectors over time and you'll come to find out that one day the hard drive would have a ticking noise which means the end is near or its already it.![]()

master poldo is rit, sus labi na nag WRITE and hdd, hehe, pirti ra ba dyud gamaya ug clearance from platter to head, hahaha murag pino pa sa buhok, hehe, mao na naa landing zone (wlay data) ang hdd para nig shut down adto siya maglomlom ang head did2, usually brown-outs (in most instances) are pre/followed by power spikes and fluctuation, this is wher ur AVR and ur PSU kicks in their function, thats why mostly generic PSU sometimes fail, especially ang outlet gi hansakan ug power kai ga octopus/bad voltage/current supply.
kana sad extension wires na nipis kaau, fail sad na.
masulbad ba kaha ni sa umaabot nga mga solid state drives?![]()
