main difference would be the l2 cache. C2Ds have at least 2MB while the PDC are stuck at 1MB (correct me if i'm wrong). I've seen a lot of discussions regarding the significance of the L2 cache, some say it matters on applications but won't matter on games (vice versa). I can't say which is which because I haven't tried a PDC.

^ one thing i can assure you is that the PDCs are monster when it comes to overclocking. most of them can easily reach 100% overclock.

Usually superior gyud ang Core 2 Duo over the Pentium Dual Core series when it comes to performance at stock settings.

The new PDC E5200 comes with 2Mb L2 Cache.

i stand corrected but i was looking at the early versions of conroes--65nm(e4xxx, e6xxx) versus the early versions of PDCs (E2xxx). kani siya kay sa wolfdale naman ni mo match-up (E8xxx) all of them are manufactured at 45nm.
