ECS RS-400a MB video card compatibility

I've been using this board for months already with its built-in video and so far it's doing well.

My concern is that this board is choosy when it comes to video cards.
I've tried installing Powercolor ATI radeon 9550 ultra edition using the boards AGP and just lately a Powercolor ATI radeon X300SE using the PCIE. The board did not detect this cards after installation and no display on the monitor.

Any recommendation guys?

im not sure but,... dont u have to go in BIOS setup and select w/c one u wanna use? onboard video or the AGP or PCI-E?

i think this is the one that you need to perform. or if you have an auto detect option choose that one...

Normally on a bios it only denotes the first boot device, i think dli na mo boot kay active pa imong onboard videocard, try to disable it first ( read the manual on how to ) then try out your new videocard

Thanks mga bro.. i did work on the bios last night and my PCIE vc is now working.
I guess my PCIE settings on the bios were modified coz when i load the bios default (previously I havnt done this step) and set "init display first to PCIE (Ive tried only this step before but didnt work)" it turned out to be okÂ* Â*:mrgreen:
