*what is the best 3D software so far?
*and also for 3D animation..

Maya?? is it good.. does it have 3D animation or works like Photoshop?

i suggest Wings3Dhttp://www.wings3d.com/.it's what i use to model stuff. it's a free modelling app, doesn't do animations though.
i hear that Maya is good, so is Max. there are lots of good apps out there.

photoshop is for 2d pictures.
3D Studio Max and Maya is for 3d Animations.

Para sayun,
Think PowerPuffs, DexterLabs, Johnny Bravo, those (perhaps) where drawn using photoshop.
Think FinalFantasy that was drawn using Maya.

you cant compare ang duha.

3d animations are much more difficult than photoshop.
you need like architecture lessons for this.

For Pictures? Photoshop efficient and easier.
For Hardcore 3dAnimations? 3D Studio Max efficient and easier.
for 3d looking picture "sort of"... no animation? depende. photoshop i guess.

best 3d software so far is 3DS Max pero mahal pero kng ganhan ka ug free gamit ug GMAX modeler. ang 3DS ug gmax kay daghan gamit ni like model development,animation,simulation, maxscripting

next is Maya kng ganhana ka animation or movie
kng ganahan ka mas sayun gamit ANIM8TOR
kng ganhan ka daghan supported na file formats like DirectX,3ds,MD3-MD4(Quake),MDL(CS) gamit ug Milkshape3D

those stuff i mentioned kay nmao na ang mostly gamit sa game development industry
but i prefer 3ds max kay completo cya sa tanan na feature
