hello is anybody here know of what are companies here in cebu who can recover data of failed hard disk, my hard disk had all very important files, and no back-up being done...my hard disk suddenly crush, it is connected in my computer as an external hard drive with enclosure, the cause was when i turn on / switch on the hard drive produced sounds like click clunk or some tick tack sound..i don't know what the exact term to use..so now i'm asking people here if somebody can suggest me on how can i retreive the files or is there a company here who can do service to this kind of problem, my only needed is to get all files in the hard drive.

services offered here in the Philippines are all software based recovery. based on your description on the problem it is most likely hardware based. most likely your hard disk can no longer be detected in the bios and has a ticking sound. the ticking sound is the arm hitting the center of your hard disk. that means the disc platter inside your hard disk needs to be transferred to a new head/reader/arm(whatever the call that device). so the only option you have is have it serviced outside the country.

They can recover based on software only, like using Spinrite or HD regen. If its a physical damage on the platter i doubt they / anyone can do much about it.
