    Default Hard Drive Data Recovery

    Hello,

One of my systems have been hit with a nasty virus, so temporarily I just switched w new hard drive and reinstalled OS to use system, but I still need to get a couple of important data from the corrupted hard drive. Initially I connected the infected HD to my computer as an external hoping I would be able to get it that way without running OS , but for some reason this nasty virus has redone admin parameters so I am unable to get into My documents inspight of me trying out the share folder option.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or say someone able to recover data for me

    Matsalams hayyyyy gi ats ...

    Thanks folks

Windows XP imo gamit nga OS bro? you can try booting with your new OS, be sure nga gi-set na nimo sa BIOS ang harddisk nga bag-o as your first boot device. pagkasulod na nimo sa Windows bro, right-click your old harddisk then select security. I-change ang security sa imo disk then if necessary, ang ownership pud. i-change ang owner sa new nga admin account.

Use linux and retrive your files from there. No virus issues to encounter

I believe this is normal, you need to transfer the file ownership to the "new" OS.
