Hello,
My parents came from a small town in Davao, literally nothing to offer for the future, that's how sad it is. I also came from a fortunate family, although they are not rich, but they are able to sent us to private school, I have a good and secure job here in Washington state. I will be going back to this small town, visit my extended families and would love to ask an idea from you guys what I can do to serve to other people while I'm 7000 miles away. I wouldn't count on how our local officials acted irresponsibly sometimes, but everybody has their own opinion. I certainly have one! This town has a population of I would say 30,000 maybe.
I like to work around kids, although I dont have one, and I am single still.
Recently, when I heard the story about a kid selling peanuts or even flowers on the street to put food on table, it broke my heart.
I am writing while I'm at work right now, to ask any suggestions, what can I do for P200,000 donation to this small town. I want something that everyone in the small town would enjoy it, safe, and family friendly. I dont have any idea other than installing kid's park, where family can go and play with their kids, or area where they can sit and eat on table while chatting.
Please help me...
Thanks,
Shamn
