Help: I forgot my router security key

I just had my new laptop, tried to connect to my sister's internet via her Linksys router
pero mangayo ug SECURITY KEY. The problem is nakalimot na akong sister kung
unsa iyang security key. She remembered writing it on a piece of paper but it is nowhere
to be found na...

What should we do with this? Thanks in advance.

If you can't remember the security key then just make a new one, if you are unable to make a new security key because of the fact that you don't remember your old password then your last resort is to reset your wireless router. Take note of the IP address of your router so you can configure it later after hard reset. Good luck!

saun ramn nang security key, access ka GUI sa linksys, den ag2 sa advance den change security settings, its either it will ask for a security code or modem access code (10 digit dats inside a parentheses it can be found at the bottom of the modem) if mangau gali securtiy code para i change ang old code den u dnt have any option but to hard reset the router and create a new connection last resort call linksys technical support heheheh

im not sure if i get you right but let me clarify

obviously. you need the wireless password.
you can get it back by logging into the linksys router page and under wireless>wireless security, youll see your password there. but before you can do that. you need to supply another password.that is the router password...

so if your sister remembers the router password then thats good...but seems like..she doesnt remember both... RESET lang PO

this is the thing bro some of the routers have its security key on the back if you using a 64bit pass word it will be a ten digit key [enclosed with these brackets] located at the back of your routher. if you want to log in to lynksis the GUI or graphic user interphase is 192.168.1.1 type it sa adress bar sa IE or Mozilla den makaadto naka sa lynksis GUI if it ask a username leave it blank and password is admin kana if wla nimo gi modify lastly ang imo mabuhat is hard reset dat is kung kahibaw ka mo bridge mode sa imo modem to sa imo router happy hunting any questions feel free to pm me ok glad to help

i was an inch close to reseting my the router na unta, but nahadlok
ko mo start all over again kay dili jud ko sweto ani na thing. basin ma
mess up nako tanan, maka-piso na hinuon kos akong sister, she's
paranoid about messing up her mediocre laptop & internet connection.

wa mi kaagwanta we were so stressed out in trying to solve this thing, nitawag
na lang mi sa Linksys Tech Support, Indian ang agent strikto kaau manulti tawhana
but we kept our cool lang jud..hehe he did that thing when agents get
control of the computer, lihok2x sa cursor & all that until he finally fixed
the whole problem... I'm now enjoying this wireless internet connection service at home.
Pero paksit pod dayon $9.00 as service charge nila...

Anyways, i will take note of all your suggestions for future similar problems that might
be encountered.. Thank you so much sa help & quick replies, very much appreciated!
