This subject - about the subconscious - fascinates me day by day.![]()
Hmmm: "The feeling of health produces health, the feeling of wealth produces wealth."...Mao ni ang katong sa The Secret Bro? Are you talking about the 'Law of Attraction'?
I dont really subscribe to this "law"...But I do acknowledge the implications and effects of what is called the "negative suggestions.
(I believe that this is one of the cores of the concept of the Law of Attraction.)
The subconscious cannot 'process' the negation in a suggestion without 'processing' the other part of the suggestion that is to be negated.
The classic example:
"Do not think of a pink elephant." - you can't really follow this suggestion without thinking of a pink elephant first.
Negative-sentence suggestions are not really helpful. In fact, most often than not you are doomed.
Yes. One of the Universal Laws is The Law of Attraction. It simply states that what you focus over and over will materialize someday.Yes, it was clearly explained in the movie, The Secret!
Yes, Negative suggestions are like negative vibrations. We live in the universe which is pure energy!![]()
That is why our subconscious mind is neutral. It will process the suggestions carried on by the conscious mind whether good or bad!![]()
That is why speaking and 'thinking' in positive language is more effective than speaking and 'thinking' in negative language.
"I should remember this in order to..."(positive) is way better than thinking "I should not forget this or else I will not be able to...!" (negative)
In the light of the 'Law of Attraction': It is better to think "I want to be rich..." than think "I dont want to be broke...". It makes quite a difference...

That is correct. Another example is The Law of Reframing. For example, instead of saying "I am broke," you reframe or transform it by saying "I am temporarily out of cash." In that case, you don't actually negate your situation but you focus on your situation not as permanent event but only temporary setback. That's being optimistic too!![]()
Reframing indeed is a very powerful tool!
Poticians use it, priests use it! Reframing is in the toolkit of a good persuasion engineer.
George Carlin touched on this subject in one of his pieces - when he talked about euphemisms. He was talking about the negative side of the tool though, not on its positive effects.
The somewhat 'mystical' concepts such as the 'Law of Attraction' and 'Law of Reframing' HAVE their clinical equivalents afterall.(The only problem of 'repackaging' these clinical concepts into something that is somewhat mystical in nature is that most often than not, it will be blown out of proportion by those who does not realize its scope and limits as defined by science.)
I love George Carlin! Best comedian so far!Yes, Reframing is part of the power of our minds! Our subconscious mind will see it through despite of the many failures when the conscious mind is affirming positively!
Being Mindful or being aware is the key to transform our thoughts!
