5 dead, 6 hurt in Lanao Norte mall blast

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) Five people were killed and six were wounded in a bomb explosion Thursday at a department store in Lanao del Norte, police said.

Initial reports said the blast, caused by an improvised explosive device, occurred at the Uni City in Iligan City at around 1 p.m., said Superintendent Dimacuta Sanggacala, spokesman of police regional office 10.

No other details are available as of posting time.

Probably another diversionary tactic by the Muslim outlaws. If this is another case of MILF/MNFL/ABU antics then, how about 100 Muslim heads for every 1 Christian head. Es más barbárico pero digno de intentar.

I am curious as to why the report said "Lanao del Norte" when in fact, the blast was in a mall in Iligan City. Yes, Iligan City is within the area of Lanao del Norte, but if political jurisdiction were to be considered, this blast occurred within the confines of Iligan City and not outside the city.
