Thumbs up Snakes of all kinds.

Any blokes or sheilas here who's keeping venomous snakes or lizzies here (aside from me...)?

    Lemme start:
I have these here, for now...

    -N.samarensis (Southern Phils. Cobra)
    -H.calligaster (Barred Coral snake)
    -T.wagleri (Wagler's viper)
    -T.albobrabis (White-lipped viper)
    -B. dendrophilia (Mangrove snake)
    -B.fasciatus (Banded Krait)

    Right, there you that...
    Now, anyone else here?

    -----------------
    A reminder:
Never keep potentially dangerous animals / creatures without any proper and correct knowledge about the animals your keeping. The best tool is knowledge, proper and correct. It would be very irresponsible and dangerous, not only to you but also to the rest of the community as well. Always have a good knowledge about what your keeping and also the proper knowledge of what to do in the event of an accident. Do also have the proper emergency equipment you would need at the ready, in the event of an accident. Most importantly; never, ever try to handle your deadly and/or dangerous animals, no matter the reason. It only takes one bite, one accident. And it may cost you your limb(s), life or the limb(s) and life of others. Always have your Bite-Kit ready, at all times..

    Look, but NEVER touch...

    Enjoy your HOT herps...

Very nice doc, but I had to say I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't mind gett'n bit by a non v. snake at all, but for deadly venomous types, I will leave that to the experts!

Nice collection, would love to see pics!

The H. calligaster i have to let go..
Probably its stress (all these herps travelled fom my stock farm all the way here in cebu city, jet-lag you may call it) or of its specialized dietary req., i'd say its slowly dying. So, i have to release it back in the wild.

The damn B.fasciatus almost took off, almost escapedwhen i accidentally opened its enclosure when i was transffering the H. calligster into the transport sack... Bloody slippery snake...

@muzikfrekah. Thanks for the info bro. Magpadakop lang nya ko ini diri sa amoa, hehe. We live nearby a river. Last time as we were river trekking we caught one. He was sleeping, heads up high with closed eyes underneath a big rock. With just one snap an expert neighbor of ours caught it single handedly. I was not interested in exotic animals yet. Maybe this time I'll try, hehe. Monkey, Baboy Ramo, Sawa, Haw(?), Milo (looks like a cat), Tarsier, and other wildlife animals, we have them here bro. There are Aetas in our place so some other times they bring them down. Thanks again for the info.

i believe they're iguanids.. and i agree with his majesty musicfreakah that you need to have a dipping pool inside their vivarium. i suggestyou use an aquarium, rather than a net cage. as these things my injure and cut themselves, esp. thier mouth parts when they chew on the cages and rub their lips on the net.. a wounded or an injured herp is a very hard herp to keep or recuperate. as they tend to go fast on infections...
