    Default SATA Drive not detecting

    hi all,

i cleaned my desktop pc today (dusting off dust with a soft brush like i normally do). after that.
my pc didnt start up properly (some power supply issue). i replaced the power supply from my brother's spare... so it started up correctly... but now its not detecting my primary SATA drive only the ide drive which contains some of my data.

I already removed the bios battery and put it back again still nothing my system was running perfectly prior from cleaning. any advice you can give me?

    mobo is asus p5gc-mx

have you tried pull-out your sata drive and slave it to the other PC? if it's detected there, then something wrong with your cables or the sata socket on the board. Maybe the power slot of the SATA drive is busted or shorted. Post here for the progress of my suggestion. Hope it helps!

you need to setup your SATA HDD as your primary.

naa ra na sa bios. check that computer should check for SATA HDD.

other reason why dili na mag work? hmm basig naa kay gi tangtang nga jumper for SATA HDD. (unlikely)

so i guess BIOS ra na. by default it's checking for IDE HDD.

    e configure lang ang bios.
