A top pageant website made a list of the top 40 contestants who will most probably be the next Miss World and our very own Danielle Castaño ranks no. 1 in the Asia Pacific region and no. 7 over-all!

Globalbeauties.com gathered 14 pageant experts around the world to give scores to the 111 Miss World contestants based on their winnability factor, and of course, beauty. In their latest ranking, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia received the highest points of 112 to rank no. 1 among 111. Following her closely is Miss Spain with 107 points and Miss Brazil with 105 points.

Our very own Miss Philippines, Danielle Castaño, received a total points of 86 to rank no.1 in the Asia Pacific region and no. 7 overall behind Ukraine, Mexico and Czech Republic. Rounding off the Top 10 are Venezuela, India and Belgium.

The 2008 Miss World Pageant is currently being held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The new Miss World will be crowned on December 13, 2008
