Hi i have a pentium III toshiba dynabook satelite. Dug this out from its long long rest and it i was amazed it was still working. i have even installed windows xp and it worked fine. but after a few months it speaks "GREEK", or some other alien language.
when i turn it on it displays this:

when i enter the bios it displays this:
the words are somehow understandable but garbled. i have tried and google what the other words mean and i managed to set the bios on default but still no luck on getting it back to work.
HELP!
please help my elderly laptop have a second life
i use this as a music player because the speaker sound is good

i think the BIOS reset to factory defaults? check out the 2nd pic, BAD RTC battery.

battery sa bios cguro pasabot ana. ipa abri nalang na. pa ilis ug batt ke basin wala na cya sulod.

tnx for the help. so, ill open the laptop and change the battery in the motherboard? BAD RTC - what does RTC mean? how do i configure the bios bros? is there a software i have to DL or just configuring the bios will do it? when i installed windows xp everything is OK, i mean i didnt install any drivers or anything. ill try and open it tom and ill give update. hope u guys can help again. tnx

bro check lang sa manual nimo asa e change ang language ana, if you dont have the manual you can google it. Some where in the bios rana e set ang language, mao ni greek na sya kay na lowbat imong CMOS battery, mao na reset to default sya.
Please post the exact model number sa imong toshiba.
