    Thanks, bro.

I think the VC is ok. I've read so many forums regarding the issue. There is really a compatibility issue between ATI drivers and certain monitors like Viewsonic. I'm using Viewsonic VG2030wm 20" wide 16:10 aspect ratio LCD.

Brought it back to PCX for them to test. It was ok when paired with Samsung LCD.

The problem is with DVI output when ATI drivers get loaded. DVI output works well during POST but gets lost when Vista loads the graphics driver. The DVI works ok when used with a D-sub analog adapter, though, but i did not buy a DVI card for my LCD only to use the analog adapter.

    Already using the latest driver.

When used with the on board ATI graphics chip, it's also ok. My onboard graphics uses DVI also. So maybe it's really how this card uses the driver to output digital when Vista kicks in.

DVI is perfectly ok also when used with the Microsoft driver integrated in Vista but it cannot output at the exact resolution. Problem only starts when the ATI driver is used.

At the AMD site, they posted that there is currently no solution to this issue. So, I'll just have to wait for the next driver release unless someone buys this card for use with a different monitor.

Tried so many workarounds including resetting the monitor EDID.

Buying a new monitor is out of the question at the moment.
