you posted on the wrong thread, this should be in the Networking Section.

Are you using a DSL connection? If that's the case, follow the diagram below:

MODEM --> ROUTER --> PC / Workstation(s)

to configure your router, open your browser and type the IP Address of the Router. Usually it's htp://192.168.1.1 or try http://192.168.0.1. When you are asked for a USERNAME and PASSWORD, use "admin" and blank as the password or try "password" as the password. Then proceed with the settings you want. Either way, when you purchased the Netgear router, there is a setup cd included, just fire it up and read/follow instructions or just read the manual that accompanies the router.
