What have you seen and your recommendations?

amelie and life is beautiful don't need any introductions.

Hable Con Ella is about 2 guys, their 2 love ones who are in a coma and their friendship. One is a writer caring for his bullfighter gf, the other, a nurse "caring"(obsessing) for his patient, a beautiful young ballet dancer. This is a very nice drama with a little bit of suspense coz as the story was progressing i knew that that there was something wrong that happened/ to happen, you know, a gut feeling that there's something wrong with the picture. quite unpredicatable with a twist.

Man on the Train, its a French film.

and uuhhh, Trainspotting? one of my favs. is this even european? it is in english/scottish, and scotland's in europe so....

ive also seen Delicatessen, an earlier film from Jean Pierre Jeunet, renowned director of Amelie. a very weird movie. didnt really get it at first viewing.

Ketchup Effect was a nice Swede movie. not another teen movie.

Trainspotting is one of my all-time favorite.

you may wanna check out Carmen as well. my friend claims that Paz Vega (Carmen) is another pretty face with bad acting skills... i dunno for her but i liked the movie. It's spanish, by the way.

try "sin noticias de dios" with penelope cruz and victoria abril and gael garcia bernal (theologica/philosophical in nature)
or "y tu mama tambien" or "el crimen del padre amaro" both with gael garcia bernal (strong sexual content with moral, ethical and social issues tackled)
there's a new movie called "la segunda mugli" with joachem bardem and cecilia roth (strong sexual content dealing with homosexuality)

i actually tried reading the book pero mapotol man kay busy nya mawagtang na lang ako interest nya balik na pod...
maay pa movie na lang.
