Now that a lot of things are out of the way i may begin posting the rules for some of the events. Namely the cosplay competition. I apologize for the delay, do understand that highschool sched and the end of a semester is extremely taxing on our part.

ARCHcon 2008 - first hobbies convention in cebu, 5 years and going strong. OCTOBER 25 2008 at the Sacred Heart School Jesuit old campus. gen. maxilom ave cebu city opens at 9:30 am

Cosplay Competition (singles and doubles)

Guide lines
Over all
1. All cosplay participants must register on site during the day of the event from 10am to 2pm

2. cosplay participants must be ready during their respective call times. Failure to do so means disqualification.

3.Be as wholesome as possible we will have children at the event as well.

4. ABSOLUTELY NO: pyrotechnics, dangerous chemicals, bladed props. We will allow a certain degree of leniency when it comes to metal props but try as much not to bring any.

Singles
1. An Individual Cosplay participant is not eligible to join the group cosplay category even as a minor role or prop

2.An individual cosplay participant must present a skit and will be given a max stage time of 3 min.

Group
1. we will only accept 5 - 7 group cosplay entries. Group division will close after reaching the 5 - 7 quota.

2. A cosplay group MUST consist of at least 4 members and a maximum of 8 per group.

3.A member of a particular cosplay group can only join and/or be part of only ONE COSPLAY GROUP upon registration

4. All cosplay groups are required to have a cosplay skit. Each cosplay group will be given a maximum of 6 mins of stage time to do their skit.

Mechanics of judging
In character - 50%
Skit - 35 %
Costume - 10%
Audience impact - 5%

An unnamed judge (or judges) will be roaming around the area checking on the various participants. Please take note of the criteria for judging, it is a must to keep your character from after registration to after skit presentation. Dont get caught off guard or out of character

Award categories
Best Male cosplayer
Best Female cosplayer
Best Chibi cosplayer (12 and below)
Best in craftsmanship and stage performance

Over all best group cosplay
1st runner up

*Special awards may be given from time to time if you catch the judge(s) eye
