Itzamatch.com Launches Rock to Fame Band Competition


“Who will be the finest rock star band in Cebu? To discover new talents is the very essence of “Rock to Fame”, said Faith Ponte, marketing head for itzamatch. Rock to Fame is the latest addition to the wide range of special events organized by itzamatch.com annually. Itzamatch is one of the leading and most exciting social networking sites in the country with over two (2) million subscribers


Bands from different schools and companies in Cebu will be competing for the Rock to Fame title through a series of gigs at Paseo Cebu, one of the popular hangouts in the metropolis. Rock to Fame covers two categories, Rock University which is open to high school and college students and Rock Star Yuppies, a competition among young professionals.


Itzamatch held the prescreening and auditions last August and will kick off its eliminations starting October 15 and every Wednesday until November 19 at Paseo Cebu. The grand finals is scheduled on November 28, 2008, also at Paseo Cebu.

The grand prize for each category winner is P25, 000.00 cash plus gift certificates. Special awards will be given to the People’s Choice (Online) Winner, Crowd Drawer’s Award (Venue Winner) and the Drumbeater’s Award for the best drummer.


Ponte adds that special events is part and parcel of the multimedia services that itzamatch offers to Filipino netizens, allowing users to communicate on more media and making their experiences online and offline unique, reliable and exciting.
