Default Companies that sent their accountants abroad

    Ok...
What are the chances that companies would send their accountants abroad?
Kung naa... pag-list daw mo. I saw a thread about companies sending their employees abroad, but they are mostly engineers and other IT specialists sent for training. How about sa finance/accounting side?

NO Accountants will be send to abroad by local companies for training. Accounting practice in the federal state like in the US is totally different. Maybe for some multi national companies I know the CFO counterpart in one of the Tech company in Cebu was sent to the US for the annual worldwide budget kick off. Also like Microsoft they have this annual Microsoft Global Exchange (MGX) and all finance people will be sent all expense paid for a one week partying and meeting hehe this year was held in Atlanta Soapbox on MSN Video - requirement page

My CPA friend is with Chevron (Caltex) and has already traveled around the world by training Chevron's employees with SAP's accounting module worldwide. He also sees to it that the system is implemented properly on different Chevron locations worldwide.

That's cool but your friend must be working in IT for the SAP installations and support worldwide.. he must have an accounting background swerte siya. But companies like Chevron would rather hire a local consultant in each region to do the installation of SAP accounting module because SAP or I would say Microsoft itself has its own regional office to do this stuff to their clients.

nope, he is an internal auditor for Chevron and is doing the training and oversees implementation. though SAP have regional offices, the company wants an inside man to see if they are not being ripped off by their contractors, in this case SAP.
