converting my anime mkv to avi

Is there a way to convert MKV to something else, extract the subs(they're obviously in the file somewhere) and keep 1 of the audio tracks? I have a DVD player that will play DIVX. So I would like to convert MKV to AVI(preferably) and choose which audio to transfer with it while extracting the subs. thanks

I prefer watching animes on tv rather than computer.

bai, virtualdub can't convert mkv to avi. and cant move the sub also.

yes it can. use VirtualDubMod then. for the subs, you just have to demux it from the file. for the video, use direct stream copy and if you're lucky with the audio, you can also transmux it with no transcoding needed.
