Default teenaged-looking moms/parents in PTA meetings

don't where exactly to post this but if di ni mao na forum, pls move na lng.

anyhow, have you ever thought that with the current "trend" of girls getting pregnant at very young ages (mostly in their teens) that when their children are ready for school, these same girls would be attending the PTA??

di ba weird na sauna when we met our classmates with their parents, we would all turn our attention to the ones whose parents still look very young. naa pa gani to matching whispers, "hala ka bata pa sa iyang mama".

unsa na lng kaha karon?? bali na jd cguro! ang attention ky adto na cguro sa mga older-looking parents. lahi na pd cguro ang mga storya2x like, "hala ka tiguwang na sa iyang mama ui!"

hehehe...just a thought that crossed my mind. not a mom yet but when i do, i was thinking of what will happen in PTA meetings when i'll be with my son/daughter in my 30's and most of the other parents attending are still in their teens! tiguwang na jd ko! hehehehe...

First off, let's do simple arithmetic.

Supposing a 16-year old mother gives birth to a baby boy. Then the said baby boy will grow up and go to school hmm, when he's 4 years old. But wait, 16+4 = 20, so the "teen-aged mom" is no longer the teen-aged mom, diba? She's now a 20 year old mother, admittedly young, but technically no longer a teenager.

Now, how many 16-year old mothers do you know, or better yet, how many 13-15 year old mothers do you know? Statistics will prove that the chances of you meeting a "teenaged" mom when you turn 30 is very slim. There's also the issue that by the time you're 30 (if say, 18 years old ka karon, that's 12 years from now, so 2008 + 12 = year 2020), humanity may have matured to the point that teenaged pregnancies would be diminished to a negligible degree.

yah, i remember those elem days where marag ma-shock jud ka if bata pa ang mama sa classmate. ambot lng kaha noh kung unsay masulti sa mga bata. depende kung gi unsa pag dako sa iyang parents.
anyway, 20 years old is still young mn oi.. and there are lots of teenage preganancies going around.. if you're gonna walk around malls or anywhere diri sa cebu, you'll definitely notice them.

    aw. ingon btaw ko! hahahah!

ang point lng nko ba. if ever mka attend nko mga PTA meetings or even mgkuha lng sa grades sa ko mga anak (in the future), ma meet jd nko ang mga parents sa uban kids. i'd probably be in my mid or late 30's by then. that's waaaayyyy older na jd kng icompare sa mga moms who got pregnant early.

I truly understand your point and what you're trying to express. However, the title of the thread is still misleading, regardless of your point or not.
