i take diane35 for dermatological purposes (i had to write that one). the first month i used it, my period lasted for 8 days but in the succeeding months, it regularized down to 3-4 days. i think she should consult an ob-gyn if she's not comfortable with the duration of her period. but, personally, i think you're friend is just fine.

im taking diane too...it made my skin clear...no more acne...my pores ky nigamay...my period b4 was 8 days ang duration, after i gave birth n started taking diane, my period duration became 4-5 days nalang. side effect: i gained weight...bloated ko esp during my period, but reli nice akong skin jd another alternative is yasmin...less bloating n nice pd ang skin. but between d two, mas nice jd ang diane if ur purpose is to hav reli nice skin. ask ur doctor nalang para sure.

@angelfyre: yasmin is cheaper but my friend complained that after she stopped using it, nanggawas iyang mga pimples. no good!

@pitsay: i'm not sexually active myself but the effect is so great that i'm a happy user for a year now. i've consulted my ob-gyn about side-effects. according to her, she sees nothing wrong in my using diane35. although, there had been studies that associate pills with cancer but as of the moment, they remain to be studies.

@pitsay: i guess so, coz i know a girl hu uses diane for vanity reasons. sum dermatologists nagresita man pd ana for acne. but to be sure, consult a doctor nalang ky lahi² ra ba tag reactions to differents pills. i took diane as a contraceptive. the good skin i got from it is a bonus
