    Default PHP vs ASP?

    ATTENTION WEB DEVELOPERS :

    Just a matter of survey

    What's your preferred programming language, ASP or PHP?

    Why?

    I look forward to hear you

    Default PHP vs ASP?

    i prefer ASP coz i'm more at home with the VB Language. But I don't think there's nothing that ASP can do that PHP can't do. It's just a matter of how you utilize the language...

    ^ Well said. It is more of a question of what kind of development is going to take the least amount of time and what platforms do you have at your disposal.

    @Uzumaki

    IMHO, it's better to master one language so you won't be confused in the long run. Take for example Flash with backend integration. I really regretted sticking with ASP when it came to that because flash uses C Standard as its language. So i went thru hell trying to speak two languages at the same time. mura ko ug gabisaya at the same time gaenglish.

    @rvyne
    you can't view the source of ASP too coz it's server side processing as well as PHP... if you're referring to the line number that you see when there's an error in the page, it's just a setting on IIS. it's useful if you're on the development phase.

    Default PHP vs ASP?

    OT: but i think you have to at least have a knowledge at both because sometimes you'll be stuck with a server that only supports PHP or ASP and not both...

    Default PHP vs ASP?

    ohhh but i think its best used php... however okay ra sad ang asp... but observed the site's made up asp... compare when it load... u'll see
    its fasted load .. than ur ASP... yha i know both ... server side ..and microsoft products have a lots of holes.. vulnerable of hacking .. and etc..
    which would u prefer buying products candy quality? or buying candy thats popular and u know thats taste ..echhhhhhh
    .....
    hosting + script + sized of file = time of load
    this means however site made up of asp or php differ ra sad na sa location and speed sa .. server..
    maong i thnk... same lang na.....

    hehehehehe! thanks a lot for your comments guys!

    hmmmmm... anyway we have our respective point of view.

    Kahit ako PHP din e kahit idol ko pa si Bill Gates! (as far as of being a good entrepreneur ability is concern) bwahahahahaha!!! Bestfriend kasi ng MySQL saka im running Apache Server.

    Korek ka jan rvyne mas mabilis mag load ang PHP kaysa ASP saka usually browser independent and reliable to connect with MySQL database (ingatz lang sa SQL injection :P ) I observe also that when internet connection is slow some ASP errors show up in the screen.

    Please try to visit this site using Mozilla/Netscape browser http://www.myglobe.com.ph/myglobe/Re...onAddUser.aspx

    I can't see the SUBMIT button in Mozilla browser. Then I tried IE, I see the SUBMIT button but not clickable (Dunno if there's problem in my PC or ASPx scripts)
