Default HELP Cannot change tcp/ip settings!

just want to ask if what could be the possible solutions for this. i have a computer connected thru workgroup and decided to join to a domain. after succesfully migrating to the domain i look for my ip address at the LAN status but all of the sudden there is no ip address, subnet, gateway that is being supplied. i used static ip address. i tried to go to the tcp/ip settings but i cannot double click on it nor can i add/install the client/protocol etc. weird thing is that it shows that it is being connected to the LAN in the notification status. also when i go to command promt and type ipconfig/all it only displays windows ip configuration. i am looking forward to do some windows repair with this.

any suggestions and solutions are welcome. thanks.

your access is probably restricted because you arent logged in as an administrator. the fact that you are using a static IP addy pretty much indicates that whomever owns that place doesnt want anyone to make changes as per the way it has been configured.

probably he has admin rights...joining the PC from workgroup to domain needs administrator access.
