    Smile How to Minimize Pores

Sometimes old-fashioned beauty treatments are the best ones, and this regime is no exception. By following these simple steps, you, too, can have flawless, radiant, blemish-free skin. You pores will be smaller and you skin will be smoother than you ever thought was possible.

    1. Purchase a natural soap, as natural as you can get it. Make sure that it does not contain any artificial perfumes, dyes, or chemicals. Homemade soaps are always a great choice. I like to use Dr. Bronner's lavender bar soap.

When you are ready to begin your regime, wet your face all over and lather you face with the soap. Remember not to scrub or rub your skin. Simply lather and rinse.

    2. Next, pour about 2 tablespoons of baking soda (such as Arm & Hammer), into the palm of your hand. Drizzle a little water into it, enough to form a paste, and massage this paste all over your face in gentle, circular motions. Never scrub--just light circular motions will do. Continue for about 30 seconds and rinse.

    3. Finally, pat your face dry with a soft, clean towel. There is no need to use any moisturizers or creams. Your skin's natural oils will be all the conditioning that is required.

Your skin should have noticeably smaller pores immediately, and after 1 week, your skin should be clear and radiant.

    Instructions

    Step 1:
Consult with your doctor. Receive a thorough skin assessment to help develop a personal skin care regimen. Discuss any skin conditions you are experiencing since blackheads often accompany enlarged pores. You may be referred to a dermatologist for further evaluations and recommendations.

    Step 2:
Keep your skin clean. Use a mild cleanser to rid your skin of excess oil, dirt, and makeup. Clean your skin in the morning and at night for maximum results. Pores can become enlarged due to the build up of oils and other foreign material. Never go to bed with left over makeup on your face to help prevent irritation and breakouts.

    Step 3:
Exfoliate your pores at home. Use products that contain gentle scrubbers to deep clean your pores. Complete this procedure once weekly for an added pore minimizing boost. Avoid scrubbing your skin raw when using exfoliants to prevent skin irritation and damage to underlying blood vessels.

    Step 4:
Give Vitamin A treatments a chance. Vitamin A works to promote more effective skin exfoliation and can help loosen clogged pores. There are a variety of prescription and over the counter medications from which to choose. For example, Retinol can be purchased without a prescription. Be sure to follow all package directions to minimize your risk of skin irritation and damage.

    Step 5:
Consider microdermabrasion procedures. These procedures can be completed in your home or at your doctor's office. Microdermabrasion works to gradually remove dead surface skin cells minimizing pores and creating a smooth complexion.

Is baking soda really effective in minimizing pores? Coz that's my problem with my face too, the pores are too visible.. looks ugly. I've been looking for products that can effectively minimize...

I've been using the Belo Essentials Pore Minimizing facial wash, the pink variant, for i guess 5-6 months now. But I see there's no effect on my pores, it hasn't been minimized, looks still the same. Now i only continue using it because after washing, it leaves your face really soft and moisturized. When you touch your face after washing, or even after you've patted it dry, it's still noticeably soft. But then again, it had no effect on minimizing my pores. I think i'll try that baking soda thing.
