On the evolutionary scale, fish, crustaceans such as crabs, amphibians and reptiles such as crocodiles and turtles have been laying EGGS way before the appearance of the class Aves or birds such as chickens on Earth.

that is a very good contention. let me bring weight to the left hand. before reading, let us define organism as "An individual form of life." (based on an MIT dictionary i found here.

in the primordial era, it is relatively safe to assume that everything started out from single cell organisms, or maybe even semi-complex organisms but these had to have a humble and minute beginnings - we are talking humble, as in, microscopic. along the path of evolution, it is feasible to think that these simple organisms began to adapt to its environment: starting with regulatory systems, reproductions systems, cognitive systems, and so on in no particular order. throw in a few millenniums, ice ages, dominant specie take-overs and we get chickens... which lays eggs.

a single cell organism, although most people will surely disagree when i say this, is/was the first egg. of course, that is my opinion. i have been known to make mistakes.

nahimo apil ang mga chicken .... I dont think nag-gama ug itlog sa chicken ang ginoo.....hehehe
