Mga Bro,

Need your expertise unta when it comes to PCI-e vidcards. My proc is A64 3200+, mobo is MSI RS480, 1 Gb RAM, onboard video (ATI Xpress 200) 128 Mb shared mem. Naa ko game Doom 3 bah, ganahan ko nga smooth bitaw ang graphics. hinuon bug-at jud tngali ni nga game. unsay ika suggest ninyo mga bro? I think mo factor na ang videocard ani. Unsay optimum nga video card para sa bugat graphics nga game such as Doom 3? kanang decent price per performance ratio ha? Daghan salamat daan!

how much are you willing to spend?

if diri ra ka cebu kuha mejo mahal gyud.. x850 xt's here are sold more than P20k since the last time i checked
but if you check online prices they're selling for around $160, thats less than P10k
just giving you an idea of how prices are locally.

both ati and nvidia cards do fairly well ra man sa doom pero its a known fact na most of the time nvidia does better in that particular game.

of course the top end cards wouldn't have a good price-performance ratio so try to check the ff. lang depending on your budget:
- x1600 pro/xt
- 7600 gt
- x800 xl
- 6800 gs

nya mas mahal pa kung duha ka 6800gs imong paliton kaysa usa ka 7900gt..
plus i checked some online prices, mas barato ni siya by more or less $100 compared to a x1900xt..
although thats because 512MB man kasagaran sa x1900xt and most of the 7900 gt's are 256MB
but with a negligible performance difference id go for the 7900gt nalang - murag dako2x gyud nang $100 just for a few frames per second hehe)

whether you get your card online or locally thats up to you
but id prefer getting them online kay maka pili ka ug a step higher nga card for the same price
ang risk lang nimo ani kay ang ka hasol sa warranty but seldom ra pud ni mahitabo nga naay defect esp. if you get a good brand..

check reviews and benchmarks lang bai.. hope you find a good card!

smooth na ni xa @ 1024 resolution at high quality

around P9700, Inno3D 6800 PCIe 128mb (256-bit) pipes: 12, core and memory just check it out sa web
if you need to crank up you resolution

around P12000, Inno3D 6800GS PCIe 256mb DDR3 (256-bit) pipes: 12, core: ~400??, mem: around: ~1000
if you need to crank up you resolution and add a little FSAA and AF

kng willing ka muspend og 30K para video card:
7800GTX

DOOM3 and QUAKE4 heavily favors nVidia cards..

however if you want to play games aside from DOOM 3,
ATI cards excel at Direct3D games
