wow you've got data to support your claim?
I have so many officemates, friends who came from this school... but they are not NPA. get your facts straight.
but none in that news stated that UP is the number one source of NPA.
Even USC produces NPA's so its not really justifiable na i abolish ang UP because it is producing NPA's . If the point is i abolish cya` because the school produces such then might as well abolish all schools bisan na produced nila 1 ra kabuok NPA .

not justifiable! the school produced great graduates and served as an option for those who can't afford tuition of other higher learning institutions...
unsa may labot sa skwelahan nga dli man jd cla makapugong sa utok sa istudyante? kng naguol mos tax ad2 na paningla sa istudyante nga nag NPA![]()

wow. that's an original idea.
perhaps we have forgotten that aside from communists, the University of the Philippines has also produced some of the politicans that we admire. from both sides of the current schema of "administration" and "opposition". it has also produced top-notch lawyers, doctors, engineers, social scientists, artists, teachers and many more.
the University of the Philippines is the premiere state university, currently vying against Ateneo de Manila and De La Salle University for the top spot in everything (minus basketball; the Maroons suck at the moment) if it *actually* produces communists, then perhaps it is worth a look why the best and the brightest of students are becoming communists.
it being a state university, the costs of education is lesser (though it is slowly rising because of commercialization and privatization) compared to the other two. it offers a chance to derserving students who cannot afford Ateneo or La Salle for a prime education. this in accordance to Article II Section 13 and 17 of the Constitution with regards to youth and education
