someone can replace the tube for 900 pesos.

i've read somewhere (dpreview/fredmiranda) that some experience with 5000 - 8000 full pops. regardless of brands and models, sb800, 580ex ..etc .. they complain and thought that it failed them because it was assembled or made in china. try to search in dpreview you might find the conversation up there.

I've had this since the 1980's...





and still using it now on my Canon 40D.

once in a while a wire comes loose that I need to solder in (usually from
the modifications I keep adding in) but still using the same bulb

yeah .. it's not consistent.. i think my vivitar285HV already past the 5K mark, but i rarely set it at full power. most of the time it's on 1/4 setting

let's put it this way, it's just a tube with xenon gas or similar -- sooner or later it will dried up or run out of gas.

yup nothing lasts forever.

ok ra kung barato .. expect lang na mo spend ka ug 2K in case maguba.

ako vivitar ... 1980's pa ... way tihik tihik sa power .... okay gihapon ug performance hangtud karon. labaw pa nang imoha nga 285 series. kung sakyanan pa na ... tangke na!!!
