Hmm I know that education is life long journey.
But I've read somewhere that MBA programs are losing their luster and dominance
in the corporate world (management jobs).
Come to think of it...some BS degrees have some courses offered in the MBA.
Like operations research. I have one cousin who finished his MBA two years ago. He's smart and hardworking but I'm better than him at OR and I only have a college degree Hahaha ^__^ no offense lang.
I'm just thinking...college degrees are also becoming more and more competitive...suited to the industries needs.
I've also read that its much better to take courses alternative to the MBA. Like Financial Management, Economics or among others. Sometimes engineers are pretty specialized that they've lost their business sense. (This isn't coming from me huh?) but I think its true, coz I'm an Engineer myself. HAHA
And ever heard of Actuarial Science?? Its a nosebleed profession. It practices super-advance mathematics, and its just ABCs for them. But then again, I really envy those guys...to be able to use numbers at their whims.
An MBA grad, trained to have the ability to solve problems using advance mathematics.
BUT hey? At the end of the day.....its really all about making decisions and making things work. Is this taught in MBA programs? I doubt it though. I can be wrong.
Maybe it really depends on the person. So watcha think?? To MBA or not? ***maybe branding can be a good marketing strategy*** ^__^
