150,000-200,000
for me, basta naa decent discreet graphics card, decent processor and decent amount of memory, maka run ug 3ds max. ayaw lang usa pag Vista para dili ma consume sa OS tanang resources.![]()
sakto c aoryaj..basta dual core lng and 1gb amg memory..
basta nice imong graphics card ( example,256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS) and a really good processor (probably Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 Gb maski 1 Gb) ok na cya
tnx sa tanan.. ok raba ng neo nga dualcore? naa man gud sila below 30k na dualcore
bai katong MSI gx600 nga gi baligya ni ma'am tess of apc. sakto na kaayo toh pang 3ds max. mao rasad cheapest ako nakit-an nga decent ang specs, 69K. there is also the ASUS m50sv, which is also 69K, but there is a tradeoff with its specs. just compare the 2 and i'm sure you'll notice the difference with proc, vc, ram and hd. as much as possible stay away from video cards that shares memory with your ram. shared video memory doesn't help your rendering at all... unless you have your desktop and use that as a render slave. oh and another thing to watch out is that you want to use nvidia cards with 3ds max. ive done a fair research on this @ cgtalk.com and nvidias seem to outmatch ati in 3ds max's environment.
if you're really going for an on the budget laptop that can run 3ds max decently. then any laptop that has at least nvidia 6150 as its video card will do. at least 1 gig if you're not doing any rendering but since its shared then i'd go for 2GB just to give some room. i've tried animating with a fair amount of speed with my previous compaq laptop that has only 1gb of ram, a turionx2 proc and a 6150 nvidia. you could probably get around 300K polygons with your model(s) until you notice some difference in your viewport speed.
