All Theater Stage Enthusiasts - how to stage a play?

our theater group is planning to have a play this coming december, hope you could give me some tips on wat are the things needed, wat to get etc... though i have some ideas na, i still need more.... lyk, wer we can rent lights that are cheap, etc... thanks....

i have made some "researches" for a play that didnt push through. i believe that pacific video has the best equipment and also very reasonable. there's also that face paint make up by careline that costs only 95pesos per set. but it depends on the budget of your play. please let me know coz i'm interested in this stuff.

thanks so much for ur advise... i had been to theater since highschool, though i hav a lot of experiences, not as a producer or watever ur callling it. anyway, wer can we find pacific video? are u also inclined to theater here in cebu

i have the phone number 346-5050 4214993. actually, i'm just a mom of high school students and last year, i nagged the pta president to put up a play. but the cost just boggles the mind. anyway, the principal promised to do it this year - as a school program, not a commercial play.

let me know of your progress. what's the title of the play and where are you going to have it?

we haven't come up with a title since we are still merging our scripts. i'll just inform you around july for our progress. thank you so much... hope the promised highschool play won't fall on a december so that everybody can watch our play.. hope this will be a success and the people will supprt the play.. wer planning to peform it at the STC audi since they're putting up aircons now so i guess it won't be that hot anymore...
