Synopsis:

Two dead lovers who longed to see each other. One stayed in the house, waiting for her lover. The other, confined in the Underworld hoping to break free to see her.

Granted to leave the Underworld to seek his one true love but with a condition: they must never touch each other or else they will disappear to the unknown....

first, i'd like to thank you for watching my film. this is my first time directing a short fim, so i really appreciate the viewers for watching it.

i realized that most viewers would not understand the video unless i put the story. So i posted MY OWN interpretation of the video. i leave the viewers to interpret the symbols that i used and to draw their own conclusion of my story. I also want the viewers to interpret the video on how they perceive it.

by the way, this is not meant to be a scary video. this is the way i wanted the video to look like.


oh, if you want to know what "Dualawa" means, well, its a fusion of three words: Duwa, dalawa and dual. ^_^

it was cool.. ms nahan ta ko though wa'y tabong ang face aron mas klaro ang expressions.. gikingkoyan pd ko atong wala2 gani nla puli2 kawala.. gifade lang nta to.. toinx.. wa pd baya koy alam anang film2.. haha... i got the idea without reading the synopsis.. makaigo pd ang music.. nanindog ako balhibo ug watch gd.. ako pajud isa sa room nya hapit na 12.. waaa!!! in general.. nice ayo.. esp atong dance2 nila... keep it up

i didnt want our faces to be shown. mawala man gud ang air of mystery kung ipakita ang nawong. besides, naa pud to meaning, especially the "holes."

as for the fade effect, they were "playing" lol! srsly, i wanted to try that effect. you may not like it, but i do. ^_^

the cover on their faces (piece of cloth) looks funny for me though.
yes it was to conceal and to add touches but it could've been better if
it were masks or some other special make-up and the like
..... my 2 cents pow

i was gonna buy a plain venetian mask, problem is, there was no venetian masks here in iligan. they only place where i can find one is in manila. so i had to improvise. so i used cloths to make em look like a Klan member. and, like i said before, the "holes" in the eyes has a meaning. ^_^ cryptic eh? lol!

make-up? nah. it would look like the ghosts in Pamahiin or a trying hard nga pinoy nga gapa-black metal effect (corpse paint).... murag Kiss nga make-up ba. ^_^

una jud nako nga concept ani kay grabe ka way sense. i wanted to make a film that had no meaning at all pero disturbing. then my friend convinced me to put a story. so i had this idea: extremes personified. Good and bad. Rich and poor. Happiness and sadness. still it had no sense.

as i listened more and more to the music, i remembered the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. thats where i derived my film from.

some people asked me unsa ang ending. well kamo na bahala mag-decide kung unsa. whether nagseparate jud sila, or they both went to the underworld together or they maybe they really disappeared. ^_^
