if ur into rpg like me then id go for the ps2... plus it has a larger game library than the xbox.. (doesnt matter how old u r, there is always a ps2 game for everyone(adult, teen, kids))

as for the xbox... well, the advantage is u dont need to buy a memory card since it has a harddrive... if ur into pc-llike games then go for the xbox... and its just a step behind with regard to the game library

its just a matter of preference...
