How to protect pc from kilat!

kinsa dha kabalo unsa-on pag prevent sa kilat? pwewte intawn daghana guba amo motherboard igo sa kilat. pls ADVICE... thanks

for office or internet cafe? naka encounter ko kana imong problema. ako nalang gpausab ang electrical wiring ( dili tanan ) and also the circuit breaker tas-an nako ang amps ( for standard ) and proper grounded. so far ok naman walay problema na.

only God can prevent kilat.....its us who is not carefull in planning our wiring system...
better put some lightning rod sa imong atop
sa akong inet i never grounded my system kay sometimes mo-loop nya diha magsugod ang pagkadaot sa akong mga units so sa karon floating pa akong systema kutob sa mohikap nga kwatans sa monitors or casing piti!

ask an electrical engineer, if you know one, or ask VECO's help para ma-ground og tarong ang place ninyu.. I don't know though if motabang sila.. hehehe..

and do what rkc_888 says about increasing the circuit breaker's amps..

@ stealehghost: i mean change the circuit breaker with 30 amps? for outlets .. if mao bana ang term. im not familair with circuit breaker.

pila ang standard amps sa circuit breaker? for internet cafe? pwede ba 300 amps sa main load then for outlets 30 ?

mahal man ang electrical engineer but its worth it naman sad for sure just make safe sa imong equipments.

i don't think you would need 300 amps circuit breaker coz di man ka light industrial plant. 30-60 amps will do just fine for 30 outlets.

@spookey 300 amps for industrial plant btaw noh. I think below that if will work like 200 or 100 amps with ground. thanks anyway.
