Not much different than the 4th generation iPods except for the video function and a few other extras. I have 30GB Color iPod with Video & I choose black. The screen color is crisp clear, movies run great. Dont plan on making this your portable DVD player because it wont last for over an hour on constant video. Sound is perfect, clean and easily adjustable. If you do buy this item, BUY A CASE FOR IT. I never pull the plastic film off to avoid any scratches that comes easy.Â* Overall I am very pleased with all of the extras this ipod has to offer.

i also have one ,a 30GB white with an altec lansing speakers IM7. My father bought in the U.S. .. It's cool but the batteries can be easily drain because of my vids....

If you're battery's full and you still can't finish an hour of video then there's definitely something wrong with your iPod because I've been using my Ipod to watch movies (full length 2-hour movies) and some episodes of Firefly (40 minutes long per episode) on 1 charge.
