Does a soul or spirit reside in the flesh?

If man is said to have a soul, does it live in the flesh? The Bible tells us that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Other associations to a soul or spirit are those that come out after the person dies. But spirits are IMMATERIAL. And how does a spirit or a soul dwell in the body of a person considering it's non material properties?

The 'ME' that is reading Mr. Brownprose's post isn't it the soul? how can my 'soul' be judged by God if its not me and not in the flesh that commited the acts that soon to be judged by God?

Of course I equate the "Me' as my soul or my conciousness.

Yes, ramini...daghan ang description sa soul. Even long before Christianity came, philosophers were already puzzled as to what constitutes a soul.

biblically cguro the soul dwells in the flesh..pero if ako pasturyaon...i think there's no soul but only the consciousness of a human..romanticized nman ng soul sa religion which is used liberally sa mga peeps..

Well, our conciousness do resides in our brain. The brain could be analogous to my PC's processor while my conciousness could be the operating system. The two are of separate entity, considering that there are functions in my brain that most of the time I am not aware of, for example my sweat productions, heart beatings etc.
