HELP Router or internet connection problem?

1. i have an edimax router which is working fine..i am a smart bro subscraber but i am experiencing a little problem because some links cannot be open...but when I connect it directly to one of my cpu that link can be open...

2. second one is I have a DSL connection which is working fine, but when I purchase a brand new D-link wireless/wired router and use it on default settings...some links cannot be open anymore...same with No. 1...links can be open when I connect directly to the DSL without a router.

any idea guyz?..does anyone experiencing this same scenario?

If you can browse some sites, then your setup should be OK. Maybe you can check if you accidentally filtered some sites.

no i didn't filter any, i can browse google, but some resulted links couldnot be opened... and when I remove the router and use the direct connection, I could open that link...

same here... some sites have a problem due to maintenance. im using buffalo N router

actually there is no problem in your router/setup. it is just that sometimes your ISP will disconnect and once it does that your router will need a little time to reconnect itself to your ISP that is why you cannot browse the site but if you will wait a little while everything is fine. just use ping www.yahoo.com -t0 @ the dos prompt. hope this helps. we have been experiencing that too. :mrgreen:

try lang sa mga advice nila...ang set-up jud sa router ang problema ana bro...ok??

mga bro. derecho ra ba connect from modem to D-link router. nakapalit man gud ko og bag-o, dili man makit-an ang connection. pero ang karaan nako nga edimax wala man problema. unsay set-up or config akong buhaton sa D-link router?

try to open DMZ so it will open all ports.
